Atmosphere: 5/5 Great atmosphere and a good crowd of people. Service: 6/5 We had THE BEST service here! The servers were all so friendly and attentive, I'd say each of these servers are deserving of working at a Michelin restaurant. Food: 4.5/5 The food was very good, but one dish lacked a little flavor. Overall: 5/5 I'd return here to try other dishes and definitely to experience the service again!

I'm glad we had a chance to dine here before they closed--- they will be transforming into Santa Monica's new full service event space. But their market will remain open to serve to-go sandwiches, breakfast burritos, their signature cookies, etc. I enjoyed an absolutely lovely business lunch here with 5 friends and colleagues. We sat inside in the corner round booth... was so comfortable and ambience was great. I had the Hobbs Turkey Stack Sandwich (shaved Hobb's turkey, lettuce, tomato, whole grain mustard, mayo on nine grain bread) with fries. It was good. Everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their lunches as well, and service was excellent.

I love their happy hour and love their Pulled Chicken Nachos! Paired with the Poblano Escobar tequila cocktail, it makes for a cheap date during happy hour. The real gem here however is their fleur del sol chocolate chip cookies! OMG! Literally the best cookie you will ever taste! I want one right now even writing about it! There is an outdoor patio that's fun to sit at and people watch and the indoor dining area is kinda rustic with a modern flair. Great for casual or a date night.

Truly enjoyed my Wednesday night here. The outdoor patio was cool, easy, and perfect for a warm summer night. If you love whiskey and sweet, get the Whiskey Business. It's like an old fashioned (my fave), but with more sweetness. Not too sweet though. Nice for summer. I got the prime burger, and it was almost cooked to my liking. I ordered a medium, and o was a little too bloody and soft. But overall, it was nice. They even take special requests. I didn't want a bun, so they wrapped it in lettuce for me. So nice! My buddy ordered the cauliflower Mac and cheese because it was so good last time. But this time... the cauliflower was very undercooked this time and in large chunks. He had to cut every piece. But overall, it was a nice meal, and I'll totally come back and give this place another shot. We're nitpicking. And when we nitpick, that means overall, it was a good experience. Food: B+ Cocktails: A Would I Come Back: Can't wait!

All I really need after work is a comfortable patio and a decent happy hour. And it doesn't hurt if it's by the beach. M Street Kitchen has all the ingredients necessary for a nice after work respite. Everything on the HH menu is at or under $5. Lettuce wrapped burgers or mahi mahi tacos for me. The food is just decent, but for the price, ya can't complain! A glass of red wine makes everything all right. I've also ordered the ahi tuna and watermelon appetizer (not on the HH menu) - I don't recommend. It had tuna and briney watermelon (an unfortunate misuse of the watermelon, btw) sitting on a thin bed of guacamole?, and topped with creme fraiche?, all sitting atop a salty tostada crisp with way more than a squeeze of lime juice. It tastes just like it sounds. Way too much going on. Like a super amateur culinary student decided to get "creative," but nothing could pull this dish together. No likey. Other than this real upsetting party in my mouth, M Street Kitchen is a decent HH find! Three and a half stars.

Breakfast was a winner here. On my second visit, I met up with friends for a relatively early morning breakfast. Saddened initially that they were out of the majority of the non-alcoholic breakfast drinks, I was excited to try the iced chai tea latte, which was sweet and cinnamony. The fresh squeezed orange juice was really good too. Huevos Rancheros - Ordered with eggs fried hard. The guacamole on top was a nice touch. Unlike other huevos rancheros that I've had, this one held together well. The rice and beans were very flavorful. Cinnamon french toast - Excellent. Soft but not eggy or soggy and with plenty of cinnamon. The whipped cream on top was divine. Pancake with chocolate chips - It was indeed the "one perfect pancake" that they promised. It was huge but perfectly cooked. It was soft and fluffy. This was filling. Hash brown - Skip. This was burnt and nothing special. Others had the oatmeal and the sunrise burrito, which looked too wet and not very appetizing. The previous time I'd visited M Street I shared appetizers with friends. Breakfast was better.
